With a mission to create a world where no one goes hungry. We focus beyond food by addressing the root causes of poverty by offering guidance, resources, and opportunities for individuals to achieve stability and independence.
We collect halal food through community donations, local drives, and partnerships to support families and individuals within the community of Surrey.
Twice a month, we distribute food hampers in Surrey, ensuring families access nutritious halal food and other essentials like baby items and clothing.
Accredited to accept Zakat, we help fulfill one of your five pillars to spread your blessings with vulnerable families who need assistance the most.
Unable to fast? Donate Fidya to feed the hungry. Your contribution honors your fast by delivering essential meals to those facing hunger this Ramadan.
Make amends through Kaffarah. Your contribution feeds the poor and fulfills your obligation during Ramadan, turning repentance into compassion during the holy month.
Provide Iftar for families who can’t afford it. As the fast ends at sunset, your donation ensures no one breaks their fast alone or hungry during Ramadan.

For Food Banks in Vancouver, BC
We do not provide non-halal meat with our food hampers. However, our food distribution does cater to other dietary restrictions like vegan and gluten free diets.
The Muslim Food Bank Vancouver location provides food distribution and mental health services through certified case workers and counsellors. Our location is 140 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6A 0E6
The difference is the type of food being provided. While we provide food hampers for all different ethnic backgrounds and religions, our food hampers prioritize meats that have no pork and are halal.
