Program Details
Under the Crescent Sky is a 5-week creative-writing workshop designed to help young voices find their light through the power of story. Hosted by Muslim Food Bank Canada’s ASPIRE Program, this initiative invites youth ages 12–18 to explore self-expression, emotional literacy, and community connection — all inspired by Ramadan values of patience, gratitude, and giving.
Participants will write short stories, poems, and reflections that celebrate identity, resilience, and compassion — culminating in a published anthology titled Creative Writing – Muslim Food Bank. Through guided sessions, mentorship, and collaboration, participants will learn how their words can become instruments of empathy and change.
